Berwyn leverages cutting edge proprietary solutions, big data, and professional expertise to lead the industry in death audit, location services, and data cleansing. This innovative organization continues to expand to meet the needs of the most heavily regulated industries.
We are looking for a New Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team! In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities as well as managing sales into existing customer accounts within the Company's Pension or Insurance segment. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience of cold calling, developing opportunities through a defined consultative sales process, and working in a fast-paced, hybrid sales environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage to a monthly sales quota and report sales results (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
  • Contact new customer prospects through phone calls and emails
  • As a consultative full cycle salesperson, identify client/prospect needs and suggest appropriate services to meet these needs
  • Understand industry trends to be able to effectively present the 'why you should change' message to clients
  • Successfully present the Berwyn story through various formats (e.g., video, phone, email or as required)
  • Appropriately manage marketing leads and regularly provide status updates and feedback to management
  • Berwyn will provide the New Business Development Manager with the necessary training to acquire insights into the markets we serve, learn how our unique products and services fulfill the needs of our clients, and develop an understanding of the regulatory environment that exists within our various market segments.
  • The New Business Development Manager will have an annual sales quota and will be compensated based on performance versus the quota.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 5-years+ experience managing the full sales process (building rapport with clients, understanding their business goals, presenting appropriate solutions, and utilizing advanced skills in persuasion and negotiation to close a sale)
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain focused, flexible, and make smart decisions in a rapidly changing, often ambiguous environment
  • Advanced computer literacy of all MS Office, Salesforce.com, web technologies, and other applicable software applications
  • Travel flexibility of up to 25%

Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Communication, Marketing or another applicable field
  • Familiarity with software as a services (SaaS) and 'value selling' preferred (e.g., Challenger Sale or Solution Based Selling)
  • Experience of selling to large and complex organizations as well as managing a 6-18-month sales cycle
  • Experience using Salesforce.com and Gong.io

Remote role reporting hybrid to the Minneapolis, MN office twice a week.

The base pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 + commission target. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
We give priority to candidates residing in states where we have offices: Minnesota, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota.
We will only consider applicants who live in these states: CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, KY, MA, MD, MN, NE, NJ, OH, PA, SC, SD, TX, VA, and WI. Applicants outside of these states will not be considered for this position.
