Position Overview

With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan, local sales offices throughout the world and on-site applications support, FUJIFILM Electronic Materials supplies the world's top tier semiconductor manufacturers with a broad array of products and services used throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process.
The Role
The Chemist will be responsible to support advanced metrology equipment (HPLC, XPS surface Analysis, ToF SIMS Surface Analysis, in addition to Rigaku SAXS particle Sizing and Thermo Pharos SEM Analysis). They will also support Chemical Approval/Hazard Communication and Inventory Management in addition to Method Development and writing SOP's.

Job Description
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Mix chemicals
  • Order chemicals and supplies
  • Operate advanced analytical Instruments (HPLC, LC-MS, XPS, ToF SIMS, QCM)
  • Develop methods for new tools and processes
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures
  • Analyze CMP slurries and document and report results
  • Prepare and measure wafers according to test plans
  • Document R&D findings, maintain lab notebooks and write research reports
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and manage chemicals
  • Maintain laboratory safety and neatness
  • Meet project goals and deadlines

REQUIREMENTS
  • BS degree in chemistry or related disciplines
  • 1-2 Years experience in a Production Laboratory or R&D Laboratory Environment
  • Experience using in analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, LC-MS, XPS, ToF SIMS preferred
  • Experience in analytical method development, documentation, and chemical literature
  • Experience managing and completing projects
  • Experience communicating with vendors and suppliers
  • Able to work extended hours or weekends when necessary
  • Well organized
  • Ability to understand project goals and work with people
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and follow new R&D directions
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present results
  • Excellent safety, work performance and attendance record
  • Experience in operating CMP metrology (Resmap) and wafer handling preferred
