Job description

SUMMARY:
Experienced embedded system design engineer to join our industrial printing solutions engineering team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing our next-generation industrial printing solutions to meet our customers' marking and coding needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design embedded system using the latest SOC application processor and FPGA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the electrical design, development, testing, and deployment of the industrial printing system from conceptual design to full production.
  • Develop product technical and design specifications.
  • Lead the design and development of the electrical system of print controller and printhead.
  • Perform detailed circuit analysis, develop schematics, BOMs, and layouts to create Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, Bring Up, troubleshoot, and launch PCBA designs into production.
  • Create and maintain electrical design documentation such as schematic diagrams and PCB layout documents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues associated with corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Design and lead prototype development, lab, and field tests.
  • Identify applicable standards and provide analysis of the design to these standards.
  • Work with Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Test Engineers, and Project Management to ensure a successful product lifecycle.
  • Work with manufacturing on product and process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or other relevant engineering degree
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Expertise with embedded systems, FPGA, power electronics, and system-level designs
  • Experience with PCB design and, layout, and system-level electrical engineering
  • Proficiency with Altium
  • Automation experience. Ideally coming from the industrial automation industry
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to time-sensitive needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Clean office environment.
  • Periodic exposure to a factory environment containing dust and machine noise.
  • Periodic standing and walking.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per hour
