Job Summary
Job Description
Manages all engineering activities within a department including design, development, production and testing. Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives. Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Supervise and lead engineers/technicians designing machinery
• Supervise and lead laboratories engineers/technicians team
• Oversee production and quality control.
• Confronts and solves performance/operational issues to improve development efficiency.
• Direct and coordinate production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance in plants.
• Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.
• Discuss and lay out project specifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
• Requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
