Job description

We are seeking a Corporate Partnerships and Development Manager to oversee the NCLM corporate sponsorship and preferred partner programs in order to grow non-dues revenue for the League. The position may also assist with securing donations and grants for the League’s non-profit partner, the NCLM Local Leadership Foundation (LLF). The position will collaborate with other organizations and groups to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities for NCLM and LLF. Plan, evaluate and execute corporate sponsorship programming, fundraising campaigns and activities to meet development goals.

  • Administer the NCLM Preferred Partners program
  • Work with the NCLM Finance Department, to track the fundraising income programs.
  • Identify ideal donors from public and private investors; build new donor relationships while maintaining existing ones
  • Cultivate a positive and professional reputation for the NCLM and the NCLM Local Leadership Foundation
  • Secure financial commitments that meet the goals and metrics for both the NCLM Corporate Sponsor Program and the NCLM Local Leadership Foundation
  • Answering donor and staff inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Work closely with NCLM Local Leadership Foundation (staff and vendors) to achieve goals as directed. Tasks may include working to develop fundraising plan, coordinate grant applications and other fundraising efforts, including grant writing
  • Work with partners and internal NCLM divisions to manage sponsor contracts and agreements
  • Maintain complete and orderly records of donors, partnering organizations, for the benefit of the League and use prospect research tools and donor history to build donor relationships
  • Research fundraising trends in the non-profit community
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials for League programs and services, as needed. This may include content development, working with graphic designer to determine layout/design, all at the direction of the Director. Works across all League departments to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of communication strategies and plans for League services, including planning/scheduling messages, creating messages, determining best medium for distributing messages


Qualifications of ideal candidate

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Fundraising/Development, Business, Communication or related field is required. Three years to five years of experience is preferred.
