Job description

The Hattie Larlham Development & Grant Coordinator is responsible for managing donor and fundraising data while supporting foundation funding through grant writing. This role focuses on effectively communicating the organization's mission, programs, and impact, and securing gifts to support both operational needs and capital projects.
Opening:
  • Development & Grant Coordinator
  • Location: Hattie Larlham - 769 Brooksedge Blvd., Westerville, Ohio
  • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work events, evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant course of study
  • Minimum of two (2) years of development, fundraising, and grant writing experience in a nonprofit organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to travel within the state of Ohio

Duties:
  • Partner with the Chief Development Officer and Development Officer to manage donor systems, process gifts, and send acknowledgments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
  • Research, identify, and write grant opportunities to increase foundation funding.
  • Draft, edit, and submit competitive grant proposals in collaboration with leadership.
  • Track grants, deadlines, reporting requirements, and foundation contacts to ensure compliance and coordination.
  • Support donor and funder stewardship through reports, events, and communications.
  • Participate in team meetings, fundraising events, and other development initiatives.
  • Assist in setting revenue goals and developing annual fundraising plans with the Foundation team.
