Director of Development
Northern New Jersey Area - Hybrid
Salary Range: $95,000 to $105,000 per year, based on experience
Terrific Director of Development position with a grassroots organization that strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families. The Director of Development will partner with the Executive Director and Development Committee to implement and manage fundraising strategies through various sources, including individual gifts, events, and grants.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a fund development plan in collaboration with the Development Committee and Executive Director
  • Provide moves management to new and existing individual donors, corporate partners, and institutional grantors
  • Identify and cultivate new entry and mid-level donors
  • Work to increase giving levels for existing donors
  • Draft grant proposals and reports; assist volunteer grant writers while ensuring grant deadlines are met
  • Support the Executive Director in prospecting and cultivating existing major gift donors
  • Assist the Development Committee with events management
  • Create monthly fundraising and donor reports; perform data analysis to maximize performance
  • Manage the donor CRM in collaboration with the Office Manager
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 7+ years of relevant fundraising experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong database management skills; experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative environment; excited to engage with various stakeholders, including staff, volunteers and committee members
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience working with volunteer boards a plus
  • Experience with Jewish philanthropy is a plus
