GENERAL DESCRIPTION
At PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc., we design, build, and deliver advanced modeling, simulation, and training
(MS&T) solutions that prepare warfighters for success in complex Command, Control and Communications,
(C3) Battle Management supporting joint, multi-domain operations and homeland defense missions. As we
expand our footprint in the U.S. Air Force and select U.S. Combatant Commands markets, PLEXSYS is seeking a
Business Development Director to lead and expand our Modeling, Simulation, and Training portfolio within the
U.S. Air Force C3BM and C2ISR markets.


This leader will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, shaping, and capturing new business opportunities that
align with the company's strategic growth objectives across command and control, battle management,
communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission areas. The ideal candidate brings
a strong understanding of the DAF operational environment, acquisition landscape, and customer mission
needs, along with proven success building customer relationships, influencing opportunity strategy, and driving
growth in complex defense markets. This role will serve as a key bridge between customer requirements,
corporate strategy, and PLEXSYS technical capabilities.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is needed to accelerate PLEXSYS growth in priority defense mission areas and strengthen our
presence in the USAF C3BM and C2ISR communities. As the company continues to expand its modeling,
simulation, and training capabilities, a dedicated senior business development leader is required to:

  • Develop and execute a focused growth strategy for DAF C3BM and C2ISR markets
  • Increase pipeline development and improve opportunity shaping in support of strategic revenue goals
  • Strengthen customer intimacy with key stakeholders, mission partners, and acquisition organizations
  • Position PLEXSYS as a trusted provider of advanced modeling, simulation, training, and mission
    integration capabilities
  • Support long-term capture efforts on high-value opportunities in an increasingly competitive defense
    environment

Capture and Opportunity Leadership

  • Identify, qualify, and lead capture efforts from pipeline development through proposal submission and
    contract award
  • Shape customer requirements by introducing PLEXSYS technologies that enhance interoperability,
    mission readiness, and training fidelity

Customer Engagement and Advocacy

  • Build and sustain relationships with leaders across U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), U.S. Strategic
    Command (STRATCOM), and DAF PAE C3BM ABMS and C2ISR divisions, and select AFLCMC aircraft
    mission portfolios, such as PEO WV, E-4B NAOC, E-11A BACN, RC-135, and EC-37B
  • Develop and execute a focused growth strategy for CCMD, DAF C3BM, C2ISR, ES, and WN markets
  • Increase pipeline development and improve opportunity shaping in support of strategic revenue goals
  • Strengthen customer intimacy with key stakeholders, mission partners, and acquisition organizations
  • Position PLEXSYS as a trusted provider of advanced modeling, simulation, training, and mission
    integration capabilities
  • Support long-term capture efforts on high-value opportunities in an increasingly competitive defense
    environment
  • Represent PLEXSYS in key industry forums, PALTs, and working groups addressing Live, Virtual, and
    Constructive (LVC) integration and digital enterprise test environments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, product, and program management teams to align PLEXSYS simulation and
    training solutions with customer needs
  • Support go-to-market alignment with PLEXSYS's strategic partners and OEM platform integrators such as
    CAE, Lockheed, Northrop, Boeing, Raytheon, General Dynamics, SRC, and L3Harris
  • Explore synergies with our regional teammates (AUKUS) and opportunities for Foreign Military Sales
    (FMS) through AFLCMC


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, military studies, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, capture, or growth leadership within the
    defense sector
  • Demonstrated experience in DAF, DoD, or federal defense markets, with direct relevance to C3BM,
    C2ISR, ES, and modeling, simulation, and training
  • Proven record of identifying, shaping, and winning new business opportunities
  • Strong understanding of the defense acquisition process, budgeting environment, and customer
    decision cycles
  • Established relationships within Department of the Air Force, combatant command, or related mission
    communities
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and operational concepts to internal and external
    stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI


DESIRABLE

  • Established network within STRATCOM, NORTHCOM, ACC, PAE C3BM, and AFLCMC
  • Established network with Prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop, Boeing and Raytheon
    who lead solution development and sustainment for AOCs, C3BM & C2ISR platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to influence requirements and shape acquisition priorities
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive and disciplined execution in complex capture environments
  • Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) platforms preferably SalesForce
  • Substantial experience and acumen working with industry, with a focus on Defense and Combined /
    Joint All-Domain Command and Control (C/JADC2) mission readiness and training needs


REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing Global.
