Activities Director

The Center for Living & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Director to join our team! As a vital member of our healthcare community, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and creating memorable experiences, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and execute diverse recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and entertainment programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to provide a wide range of activities and services for residents
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation staff to develop and implement therapeutic activities that support resident goals and outcomes
  • Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities programming
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities programs, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of activity participation and outcomes
Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field preferred

• Experience in a long-term care setting; experience in activities direction or a related field a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances in a fast-paced environment
