Aurora opened its doors in August 2012 with a mission of laying down a firm foundation of academic success and high expectations for our students so that they are prepared to make it into and through college.

Job Description
We are looking for a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher. The teacher will execute the provided pre-curriculum intergrading hands on learning opportunities.
The pre-k teacher assitant will:
  • Adhere to the school policies around behavior expectations, with rewards and consequences.
  • Work effectively and professionally with all school team members.
  • Implement small group instruction as required.
  • Align all teaching to our standards-based curriculum.
  • Inform all instructional decisions with data as a classroom-planning tool.
  • Work with MSCS staff to ensure all compliance is meet in the classroom.
  • Work with lead teacher to implement a safe and welcoming classroom.
  • Participate in high frequency coaching.
  • Follow all professional norms.
  • Do whatever it takes to achieve the mission of Aurora Collegiate Academy.

Qualifications
Required:
  • At least 48 semesters hours of college (2 years) or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test with a high school diploma.
  • Must be have or be able to obtain a certificate in CPR and First Aid.

Required 1 of the following:
  • Must be able to obtain a Child Development Associate Certificate within 2 years of the time of hire.

A willingness to complete all duties and responsibilities to the fullest.
A belief that all students can succeed in college and a desire to lead students to that outcome.
