Job description

Company Overview: MacKenzie-Childs is a leading home furnishings retail company known for its unique design, high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We specialize in offering a wide range of kitchen, entertaining, décor and furniture items that cater to various styles and preferences, ensuring our customers find exactly what they need to make their homes joyful and stylish.
Position Summary: MacKenzie-Childs is seeking hands-on, detail-oriented individuals to join our Production team. This entry-level role supports multiple manufacturing areas including ceramics, furniture, and specialty production operations. Production Associates contribute to the creation, assembly, forming, finishing, and preparation of handcrafted home furnishings. Paid on-the-job training is provided. This role follows a 4-day work week (Monday - Thursday).
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
  • Assist with forming, molding, assembling, finishing, or preparing products across various production areas
  • Use hand tools and equipment to shape, refine, or prepare materials
  • Support production setup and breakdown activities
  • Monitor product quality and ensure consistency to company standards
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Accurately record production and/or labor tracking data as required
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment

Production Associates may be trained and cross-trained in multiple areas based on business needs and skill development.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred
Special Requirements:
Overtime work as required to meet business needs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to use basic hand tools

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, crouch, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive hand motions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; heavier items with assistance
  • Moderate mental and visual attention required for performing manual work, inspections, and adjustments
