Job description

Our early childhood center is looking for a Lead Infant Teacher for our Early Care classroom. The ideal candidate must have experience working with infants and young toddlers, be comfortable and confident caring for infants and young toddlers, have excellent communication skills, and be a nurturing and patient caregiver. Lead Teachers create innovative lesson plans involving sensory, cognitive, and motor development to enhance the learning environment for our students. If you have previous experience working with young children and are interested in joining our growing team, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess the daily needs of infants and appropriately manage the care for multiple infants simultaneously
  • Creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on the specific needs of each child
  • Work with children in the classroom to promote their learning and development
  • Communicate with parents and keep them informed about their child's development and any changes to the regular day-to-day schedule
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers to monitor the development of each child and implement daily plans
  • Implement daily lessons including sensory activities, cognitive activities, and motor activities
  • Diapering, potty training and tending to the daily needs of toddlers and preschoolers
  • Develop a sound knowledge and understanding of New York State OCFS Regulations for Day Care Centers
