The Marketing and Development Assistant works under the Marketing Manager and the Development Manager helping to promote events and performances at the theater and to raise funds that support the Center's ongoing maintenance and operations. While primarily an administrative position supporting the daily activities of the Marketing and Development Managers, this position will also assist during some performances and membership events which take place evenings and weekends. This is a part-time position reporting to the Manager of Marketing. Hours will vary throughout the Weinberg Center's season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in designing promotional posters, flyers, and graphics
  • Assist in planning and creation of email marketing initiatives
  • Assist in creation of social media content
  • Write and edit press releases
  • Research grant opportunities
  • Assist in the printing and coordination of regular mailings
  • Follow up with and thank donors via phone
  • Assist with event management of receptions and dinners
  • Performs other duties as assigned
