About the Role

Opentrons is growing rapidly, and we’re seeking a senior digital marketing leader to own both the strategy and the day-to-day execution of our global demand generation and digital growth engine. This is a dual mandate: set the digital marketing strategy (channel mix, investment priorities, and expected outcomes) and personally run the systems and programs (paid media, email and lifecycle marketing, HubSpot, website conversion) that deliver on it.

You will be the primary voice on digital performance for Marketing and Sales leadership: setting the strategy, forecasting what it should produce, and reporting on results against that plan. You’ll partner closely with Marketing and Sales to align digital investment with pipeline and revenue targets, then execute directly. Optimizing performance across the funnel and continuously improving how prospects are acquired, nurtured, and converted.

This role suits someone who can operate at both altitudes: comfortable setting strategy and defending it to executives, and equally comfortable being hands-on in HubSpot, ad platforms, and email workflows to make that strategy real.

What You Would Do

Digital Strategy & Leadership Alignment:

  • Own the global digital marketing strategy, setting channel mix, investment priorities, and targets across paid media, email, web, and SEO.

  • Forecast pipeline and revenue contribution, build business cases for strategic investments, and report performance regularly against plan to executive leadership.

Demand Generation & Paid Media:

  • Lead paid digital programs across search, paid social, and AI discovery platforms, developing campaign frameworks for launches, events, ABM, and always-on demand.

  • Manage budget allocation, pacing, and performance across CPL and pipeline contribution, continuously testing channel mix by audience segment, product line, and funnel stage.

Email Marketing & Lifecycle Strategy:

  • Own end-to-end email strategy across acquisition, nurture, re-engagement, and event follow-up.

  • Build and optimize segmented, behavior-driven email workflows that move prospects through buyer journey stages into active sales engagement.

Marketing Operations, HubSpot & Pipeline Management:

  • Own digital lead flow infrastructure and serve as primary admin for HubSpot campaigns, lead management, and reporting.

  • Maintain a clean, reliable HubSpot-to-Salesforce integration, ensuring lead data, scoring, and status pass accurately between systems for Sales.

  • Define lead capture, scoring, taxonomy, and lifecycle stages to ensure high data hygiene and deliver sales-ready leads.

Website & Conversion Optimization:

  • Ensure digital traffic converts efficiently into pipeline.

  • Drive CRO initiatives including landing page strategy, form optimization, personalization, and conversion path testing.

  • Ensure analytics, tracking, and integrations are accurately implemented across all digital touchpoints.

Contractor & Agency Management:

  • Own all digital contractor and agency relationships end to end, serving as the primary point of contact for scope, deliverables, budget, and performance.

  • Manage SOWs and budgets, setting clear performance expectations and evaluating output to recommend scope changes, renewals, or new vendors.

  • Manage specialized external partners (web dev, paid media, CRO, HubSpot admins, creative/video vendors) to deliver campaign assets and technical builds.

Who We’re Looking For

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, CRM management, or related roles, including experience setting strategy and reporting to senior stakeholders.

  • Experience with HubSpot or another CRM/marketing automation platform, and CMS tools (e.g., Webflow, WordPress, or similar).

  • Strong background or working knowledge of Salesforce is desired, particularly the HubSpot-to-Salesforce integration that powers our lead flow to Sales.

  • Experience with marketing analytics and reporting to a broad set of stakeholders, including executive leadership.

  • Experience owning a marketing budget and forecasting pipeline or revenue contribution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to move fluidly between setting strategy and executing hands-on, without needing a large team to do either.

  • Strong executive communication skills. Able to translate performance data into clear, actionable guidance for leadership.

  • Comfortable forecasting outcomes, setting expectations, and being accountable for results against a plan.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, accurate records.
