Job description

SAIC is looking for a Deal-Based Marketing Manager to help execute high-priority, high-visibility marketing initiatives that directly support strategic pursuits across the business. Reporting to the Director of Deal-Based Marketing, this role is responsible for keeping complex marketing work moving across deal teams, agency partners, internal stakeholders, timelines, budgets, reviews, and deliverables.

This is a highly execution-oriented marketing role. The ideal candidate is a disciplined operator who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and is energized by bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex work. The role includes exposure to messaging strategy, creative development, customer insights, and campaign planning, but success depends first on strong project ownership, proactive communication, agency management, attention to detail, and the ability to keep multiple active pursuits moving at once.

This role is best suited for someone who balances strategic curiosity with operational discipline. You should be comfortable contributing ideas, asking smart questions, managing competing priorities, escalating risks early, and ensuring stakeholders have accurate, timely information. This role can be worked 100 % remote for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Manager and Director to execute strategic marketing campaigns that support high-priority government pursuits across SAIC.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing point of contact for deal teams and senior internal stakeholders, building trust through clear communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Lead work through agency partners by clarifying objectives, ownership, inputs, deadlines, review steps, and next actions.
  • Identify risks, blockers, delays, scope changes, budget implications, and decision needs early, escalating with recommended next steps.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, reviews, communications, follow-ups, and project documentation to keep active pursuits moving and visible.
  • Coordinate creative development for presentations, videos, digital assets, workshops, and customer-facing deliverables with agency and internal teams.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality, brand, compliance, and stakeholder expectations before they move forward.
  • Contribute to messaging and content strategies, helping shape how customer insights and solution differentiators are expressed across marketing assets.
  • Use approved AI, automation, and collaboration tools where they directly improve execution, speed, quality, or team productivity.
  • Stay on top of relevant marketing trends, government procurement cycles, and competitor positioning-and regularly present key insights back to the team to inform execution and guide strategic decisions.

  • Experience supporting government, federal, defense, technology, or complex B2B pursuits preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong project management instincts, including timeline ownership, risk tracking, follow-through, meeting preparation, and status reporting.
  • Experience serving as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build strong relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience contributing to messaging, storytelling, and content strategies.
