Summary:
The Engineering Manager is a platform to join our highly skilled and recognized team. This role can afford you the possibility to grow and advance within the company.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for assisting with maintaining the overall operation of Union Station and supports the Hotel's engineering department. The Engineering Manager must be able to work independently, as well as with others. Responsibilities may include maintaining the exterior of the building, common areas, mechanical areas, central plant operations, all guestrooms, conducting monthly safety inspections, training staff on safety and emergency procedures, and working with contractors and vendors. The Engineering Manager must be willing to respond to emergencies as needed and work with Engineering Leaders on special remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs. This position requires overall maintenance knowledge and trouble shooting ability with skills in building mechanical equipment and central plants, high-rise plumbing systems, electrical distribution, kitchen equipment, as well as painting and finishes.

Responsibilities include:
• Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports
• Develop and implement quality control programs
• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
• Experience in managing utility systems
• Maintain communications with Engineering Leaders
• Coach and counsel colleagues to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
• Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest experience/service and colleague engagement and satisfaction
• Develop and implement quality control programs
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports

Qualifications:
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Proven leadership skills
• 1-3 years or more of progressive hotel or building management experience
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience is required on the following:
• Chilled water systems
• Domestic hot water systems
• Domestic water booster systems
• HVAC systems
• Energy management systems
