Job description

As part of the Product Development team, the Cloud Developer - Product DevOps will be responsible for the maintenance, support and continuous improvement of our existing products and will occasionally participate in the development of new product features. The main responsibilities of the Cloud Developer will be to ensure the continuous operations of our products, monitor event logs, recover from outages, troubleshoot, and develop software fixes as well as offer technical support to our customers. The Cloud Developer will also be involved in defining the best practices for upgrades and releases.ย ย 

Our Product team was created in 2020 with the goal of leveraging our 20+ years of experience of business transformation with NetSuite into creating in-house tools to complement our customers' use of NetSuite. Our current product is based on our customers' feedback of wanting more sophisticated AI and BI tools to provide end-to-end visibility on NetSuite's data in order to make better strategic decisions to help scale up their business.ย

What do we value in our Cloud Developer - Product DevOps?

  • Programming experience with Python and JavaScript (Essential)
  • Programming experience with Go (an asset)
  • Programming experience with Google Apps Script (an asset)
  • Programming experience with SuiteScript (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (ex: Terraform) or Containers (ex: Docker) is an asset
  • Experience with database concepts and SQL (BigQuery or Snowflake, an asset)
  • Experience with ETL Middleware or REST services
  • 3-4 years of experience with service-oriented architectures, software development life cycle with DevOps methodologiesย

What's a regular day for our Cloud Developer - Product DevOps?

  • Lead the operations, maintenance, and support of our product suite
  • Monitor event alerts and take corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain automations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues within our solution
  • Follow and participate in the improvement of processes, tools, and documentation to support the product installations.ย 
  • Document and follow up on all incidents
  • Communicate with the users about any maintenance issues or upcoming events (new versions, projects, etc.)ย 
  • Offer your functional and technical expertise to ensure the quality of the productย 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for our next Product launch; Being comfortable to challenge your colleagues on some technical decisions to ensure the best possible product is going to be developed.ย 
  • Be involved in all phases of a Product development: Initiation, Design, programming, testing, launching, and maintenance
  • Participate in building the roadmap of features for our products, including bug fixes and release management
  • Work with our tech stack: NetSuite, Google Cloud Platform, Google Data Studio, Slack, JIRA, BigQuery, GIT, Google Workspace, Terraform, Docker
