Job description

SUMMARY: LogistiQ is a fast-growing conveyor equipment supplier for customers in retail, ecommerce amp; distribution located in Port Clinton, Ohio. With deep roots in American ingenuity, LogistiQ has the experience of a 100-year-old company but operates much like a start-up with high energy and nimble speed.
LogistiQ is seeking a reliable, and motivated Permitting Engineer Intern to join our team. This position will assist in various support functions within the Systems Design Engineer Team. While performing these functions, the Permitting Engineer Intern will be given the opportunity to work with our engineering and field service teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist with layout conveyor systems to meet the customer requirements.
  • Assist in creating engineering drawings for use in permits, proposals, and installation.
  • Assist with project management as required.
  • Assist with creating and/or reviewing permitting drawing sets and calculations for accuracy and specific Jurisdictional requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General understanding of basic permitting plans.
  • General understanding of project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks 3D.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
