Discounts on veterinary services and other pet perks! Day in the Life:As the Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the technology infrastructure that supports the Arizona Humane Society's life-saving mission. You will be responsible for planning, installing, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining servers, virtualization, storage, networking, Microsoft 365, VoIP, security systems, backups, and business applications to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations across the organization.In this role, you'll provide advanced technical support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing security updates and disaster recovery processes, maintaining IT documentation and asset inventories, and supporting end users across multiple campuses. You'll also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, assist with infrastructure projects, and help implement technology solutions that keep our teams connected and our mission moving forward. Job Requirements:Associates or Bachelor's Degree in an information technology area or equivalent experience required.  Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Security+, Network+, CCNA, etc.) preferred.CCNA or CompTIA Network+ preferred.5 years of systems administration and network administration experience. Advanced knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems. Active Directory/LDAP user and group policy administration. Managing servers' virtualization technologies like VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, or AZURE. Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN Routing and Switching administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. 1-2 years of Microsoft O365 administration and configuration experience. Experience with VOIP phone systems.1-2 years of AZURE administration experience preferred. Must possess good communication skills and can relate well with employees at all levels. Windows PowerShell scripting experience helpful. Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander.
