Job description

A Desktop Support Analyst job in Mankato, Minnesota, is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will hold a degree in Computer Information Technology or similar, with 1-2 years of relevant experience. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to users with their computer hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of desktop computing environments.
Job duties:
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and network connectivity problems.
Installation and Configuration:
Setting up and configuring new computers, peripherals, and software, as well as updating existing systems.
User Support:
Providing technical assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person, answering questions, and guiding users through troubleshooting steps.
Hardware and Software Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, hardware upgrades, and data backups.
Inventory Management:
Maintaining an inventory of hardware and software, ensuring that sufficient resources are available for deployment and replacement.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and user interactions.
Training:
Providing training to users on new software, hardware, or IT procedures.
Remote Support:
Providing technical assistance to users remotely, using remote access tools to diagnose and resolve issues.
Network Support:

Vendor Liaison:

Required qualifications:
· U.S. Citizenship REQUIRED

· Able to work autonomously with minimal oversight
· Able to work with customer users and help them identify, solve, and utilize the updates and/or new systems
· Multi-task across many users simultaneously
· Ability to follow and upkeep / maintain well-documented deployment policies, procedures, and methods - including ticket systems for processing requests
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $45,000 to $70,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
