Desktop Support Technician III

Location: Remote with occasional onsite visits for troubleshooting, equipment support, and project work

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician III to provide advanced desktop support within a large enterprise environment supporting more than 10,000 users and 9,000+ devices. This role combines high-level technical support responsibilities with project-based work and requires someone who can effectively manage both day-to-day support activities and longer-term initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting Windows environments, and a customer-focused approach to resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 3 support for workstation hardware and software issues
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware
  • Support peripheral devices including printers, scanners, and related equipment
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests within established service levels
  • Assist with desktop and infrastructure-related projects as a technical resource
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support activities
  • Collaborate with team members while also working independently on assigned tasks
  • Deliver professional and effective communication to end users and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Tier 3 desktop support experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting workstation hardware and software
  • 5+ years of incident and service request management experience
  • 5+ years of customer-facing technical support experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • Windows 11
    • Active Directory
    • Hardware troubleshooting and support
    • PowerShell
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance project work alongside operational support responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience packaging applications for enterprise deployment using tools such as SCCM, MECM, Ivanti, or similar solutions
  • Patch management experience

Pay and Benefits
