We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join Nusenda Credit Union. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing entry level technical support for desktop services across the organization, with a primary focus on onsite service delivery and resolution of basic to moderately complex issues. You will support Nusenda Campus and branch locations by troubleshooting desktop hardware, operating systems, peripherals, and approved software applications. Additionally you will be responsible for issues escalated from the IT Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation within the service management system.

What you'll do: 

  • Provide onsite and end-user support for desktop computer hardware, equipment, operating systems such as Windows or MacOS, peripherals, and approved software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolves basic to moderately complex desktop hardware, operating system, peripheral, and approved software application issues.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled installations, hardware and software upgrades, replacements, and repairs of endpoint equipment.

    Respond to and ensures all incidents and service requests are accurately documented and updated in the ticketing system within internal service level agreements.

What you'll need: 

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Associates degree, or two year-degree or equivalent

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop computer hardware, install, imaging programs and basic trouble shooting.
  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department. Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
