Job Description

Olsson specializes in providing multidisciplinary, preliminary, and construction design services for a diverse range of land development projects, including mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments, industrial facilities, sports venues, schools, and various site development types. We are committed to positively impacting communities through innovative and sustainable solutions.

As an Associate Technician, you will use CAD software for complex engineering design, attend client meetings, and prepare project cost estimates. In this role, you will also be responsible for preparing engineering and survey drawings from rough sketches and general design information. You will be expected to follow established standards and procedures and rely on your experience and judgment to perform your duties effectively.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other team members to produce high-quality engineering designs for site design projects.
  • Performs engineering support tasks such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, preparing copies of drawings, and documenting design changes.
  • Use CAD software to design and layout complex engineering drawings.
  • Prepare engineering and survey drawings from rough sketches and general design information.
  • Travel to job sites for observation and perform fieldwork in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
