Job description

Mechanical Design Engineer (Product Design Group)

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer.  Successful candidate will:

  • Use CAD tools to simulate, test, develop and document new products for engines and vehicles in the automotive markets.
  • Conduct, document and track design reviews.
  • Generate project plan and document per Engineering Department procedures.
  • Participate in and lead teams as required.
  • Generate preliminary estimates for Capital Investment Plan.
  • Conduct/create Stack-up Analysis, DVP&R’s, DFMEA, and Cpk/Ppk/Gage R&R.

Requirements/Experience

Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering degree from a four-year college or university required.  3-5 years’ experience within an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.  Plastics design experience preferred.

Candidate should possess analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong PC skills.  Must be self-motivated and able to demonstrate the ability to manage difficult situations and be able to balance team and individual responsibilities.
