Job description

Overview
We are seeking a full-time Printed Circuit Board Design Assistant at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for aiding Printed Circuit Board Designers and eCAD Librarians in creating efficient Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs.
Essential Functions
  • Produces and maintains all documentation and engineering drawings for PCB designs
  • Incorporates Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) to PCB designs as assigned
  • Creates printed circuit board documentation using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
  • May perform eCAD Librarian support tasks

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have completed coursework and/or possess experience with PCB CAD and/or Mechanical CAD applications OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to follow specific, detailed instructions and apply learned knowledge
  • Must demonstrate proficiency using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications
  • General knowledge of PCB Design and/or PCB manufacturing processes
  • General knowledge of electronic components and/or electronic circuits operation theory
  • Ability to read schematics
