Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Manager who is both a leader and coach, someone who can elevate a team of experienced Design Consultants while holding a high bar for performance, accountability, and customer experience.
This role is ideal for a professional with a strong backbone in leadership, the ability to make sound decisions and enforce standards, and a passion for developing top-tier talent. The Sales Manager will drive results by fostering a culture of value-based selling, ensuring our team consistently delivers a premium, consultative experience aligned with our brand.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of experienced Design Consultants to consistently achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Provide hands-on coaching focused on consultative, value-based selling, not price-driven transactions
  • Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Confidently address performance issues and enforce company policies with consistency and integrity
  • Partner with the General Manager to recruit, hire, and retain top-tier sales talent

Sales Performance & Strategy
  • Drive all key sales metrics, including revenue, close rates, and average order value
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives, including trade partnerships and business development
  • Ensure proper pipeline management and CRM usage with a high standard of data integrity

Customer Experience & Brand Standards
  • Ensure the team delivers a premium, consultative client experience at every touchpoint
  • Uphold brand standards in design, communication, and service delivery
  • Review client feedback and proactively address any concerns to protect the brand reputation

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure seamless execution from sale through installation
  • Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and business initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably leading experienced or senior-level sales professionals
  • Proven success in coaching and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to hold firm on standards and expectations
  • Demonstrated success in value-based or consultative selling environments (premium/luxury brands strongly preferred)
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Experience in industries such as interior design, home improvement, remodeling, or other high-touch residential services is highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics and drive strategy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
