Bridge Design Project Manager

Our growing team is hiring a Bridge Design Project Manager. This is an experienced position involving exciting, challenging, and complex assignments with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and will have 10+ years of experience in design of structural projects. On our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various infrastructure projects for NCDOT, local municipalities and private clients. You will regularly interact and coordinate designs efforts with multiple projects and disciplines.

Location

This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Cary office a minimum of 3 times a week.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Assist in the preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts
  • Research local/state regulations as they pertain to projects
  • Making presentations before elected officials and advisory boards, attending conferences, and participating in interviews
  • Prepare technical analysis within a variety of specialist areas such as load ratings, bridge design, and finite element analysis
  • Responsible for project management, including cost control, project budget control, and quality assurance/quality control
  • Direct and manage the budgeting and execution of projects including the supervision of assigned staff and subcontractors
What We Are Looking For
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
  • PE License in NC required
  • Experience with NCDOT preferred, but not required
  • 10+ years of experience relating to structural engineering and/or project management
  • Excellent communication, strong written, oral, and client relation skills, experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
  • Strong organization and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
