DesignGroup has a growing healthcare practice and we’re looking for a Architectural Project Manager to lead Healthcare projects in Columbus, OH.

As a Project Manager, you will lead and engage with clients and teams delivering innovative solutions.

You will be entrusted with being the trusted advisor to existing and new clients. You will serve as a leader and mentor of the project management team.

Leadership

  • Demonstrate and promote the values and culture of DesignGroup; serve as a thought leader and mentor, internally and externally; leading with the DG Mission, vision and values
  • Ensure that coaching, mentoring, and performance-enhancing feedback of assigned team members are provided, particularly related to project management proficiency
  • Monitor projects performance and take appropriate action to provide performance enhancing feedback to establish a process to mitigate risks in all phases of project.
  • Establish productive working relationships, and deal effectively and cooperatively with practice leadership, clients, team members, consultants, and government agencies
  • Work with leadership team as needed on firmwide initiatives

Project Management

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the project management cycle. Establishing project schedule, kick off meetings, maintain the schedule as project processes and communicating with clients, consultants, and team as milestones are met or change.
  • Create and monitor staffing plans and projected workloads to meet expected project timelines, budgets, and profitability
  • Ensure that project team support design and follow design intent and quality on all projects
  • Ensure that documents are reviewed for quality, coordination, and compliance with the requirements of deliverables and client standards in all phases
  • Develop and validate project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services during the marketing and contract development process
  • Execution of owner and consultant contracts and fee negotiation as well as any financial issues with clients

Business Development

  • Procure and manage an average of $2M+ of net project revenue per year and achieve an average of $1M+ in new contracts annually through existing clients or new business development activities
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure that they are satisfied with DesignGroup's services
  • Use market and client intelligence in locating new opportunities, prepositioning, preparing quals/proposals, and interviewing
  • Develop a network of current and past clients and industry partners
  • Write RFP responses and negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultants
  • Write thought leadership articles for architecture and construction industry

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of project lead and/or project management experience in healthcare (preferred) projects of varying types and complexities, with an approximate value of $100 million.
  • Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in architecture; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of Project Management/PSMJ Project Management, preferred.
  • Licensure: A professional license as a Registered Architect is required
  • Leadership: Thorough knowledge of the entire project delivery process and ability to lead design efforts through all project stages, including leadership with the client, contractors, and internal team
  • Communication: Collaborative communication style and strong people skills. Ability to represent and participate in interviews and client presentations.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with REVIT, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft Word & Excel. Experience using Unanet or similar tools for reporting and resource planning; preferred.
