Description
Responsible for participating in the product development process, including interface with internal departments, our customers and our vendors in all facets of the process; supporting new product design and product changes on new and existing air compressor models; providing technical support to the production area during the launching of a new product, as well as resolving quality issues with mature products or in the resolution of production problems affecting the structural integrity and/or quality of existing products.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute all aspects of discrete product development projects through all facets of the project development cycle
• Lead design reviews
• Provide technical support to insure a successful launch of a product
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
• Assist in building engineering prototypes and product testing
• Work with the sales department and customers to collect design inputs
• Work with vendors to collect feasibility information
• Resolve quality issues with new and existing products, including relevant customer quality forms and interaction with customers and vendors
• Create bill of materials, parts lists, setup sheets, technical manuals, and information for internal and external use
• Research new developments and innovations
• Plan and implement process change actions that positively impact business results
• Contribute to engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues to be addressed; provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommend options and courses of action; implement directives
• Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• Proficient experience with 3D Solid Edge, Auto CAD, Office 365 software; SAP experience preferred
• Graphic Design basic skills preferred (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Word Press, and rendering workflows)
• Knowledge of technical products and industrial settings with air compression and rotation equipment preferred
• Firm commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
• Interpersonal savvy; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership
• Excellent problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
