About the Position
The Operations Manager is an operations-focused leader responsible for overseeing warehouse operations functions while driving execution across logistics, people, and process. This role owns daily warehouse departments, including Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, & Repairs. Collaborating closely with the Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations, this leader balances hands-on engagement with analytical and administrative work-managing carrier relationships, negotiating freight and shipping rates, overseeing labor planning, collaborating with all safety related incidents/training/committee, and ensuring operational discipline across the business.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable on the warehouse floor and at the desk: dynamic, visible and credible with teams, strong in vendor and carrier management, disciplined in SOP execution, and data-driven in performance management and continuous improvement. This role operates primarily on a Monday through Friday, in-person, day-shift schedule, with flexibility required to meet business needs.
Position Responsibilities
  • Manage daily warehouse departments including Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, & Repairs
  • Own carrier relationships, negotiating rates & routes and trouble shoot as necessary
  • Lead and supervise warehouse-based supervisors, leads, and associates
  • Build, lead and enforce safety programs and standards for AHD
  • In partnership with Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations, train, coach, and develop warehouse staff; support performance improvement and career growth
  • Execute and uphold SOPs across all warehouse operations functions
  • Partner with leadership to manage labor planning, scheduling, and overtime control
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
  • Utilize ERP, WMS, and TMS systems to optimize workflows and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, OPS, Facilities and other departments as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, logistics, or business is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive warehouse operations experience, including people management
  • Strong management and coaching skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience working with ERP/WMS systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual Spanish highly preferred

  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building.
