Job description

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox CorporationUnder the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world's leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform is a new, forward-looking initiative within Tubi Media Group that brings FOX's unparalleled content portfolio - news, sports, and entertainment - directly to consumers via an innovative subscription streaming service.

Our vision is to create a unified, modern viewing experience that puts the consumer first, seamlessly integrating live and on-demand content across platforms. At the intersection of cutting-edge technology and trusted storytelling, this is an opportunity to shape the future of streaming at one of the most pivotal moments in media. We're assembling a world-class team to deliver on that vision, and we're just getting started.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Senior Design Program Manager to be the operational backbone and the loudest advocate for the team. This is not a coordinator or note-taker role. It is a senior seat for someone who will sit in rooms with product, engineering, and executives and make sure design's time, capacity, and quality of work are represented and defended when design is not otherwise at the table.

You will report to the Head of Design and partner daily with product management and senior leadership. You will own how design work gets planned, staffed, sequenced, and delivered across three surfaces and several flagship brands. When a timeline is unrealistic, you are the person who says so, with a plan and the numbers to back it. When the team is over capacity, you are the person who works with senior leadership so they are able to determine the tradeoff.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Capacity Planning and Forecasting
  • Own a living model of Design team capacity across multiple product surfaces, tracking allocation, availability, and workload to proactively identify resource constraints and opportunities
  • Forecast Design demand against the product roadmap and translate upcoming work into staffing plans, providing leadership with early visibility into capacity risks and resourcing needs using data and insights
  • Lead the end-to-end Design intake process by evaluating new requests, sizing effort, prioritizing work, and routing or deferring initiatives based on strategic priorities and team capacity
Roadmap and Timeline Negotiation
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to sequence Design work across release timelines, live events, and cross-functional dependencies while ensuring realistic delivery plans
  • Represent Design in roadmap planning by advocating for appropriate timelines, proposing phased approaches or scope adjustments, and clearly communicating tradeoffs when priorities compete
  • Track and manage cross-functional dependencies to reduce delivery risk, remove blockers early, and ensure Design work progresses reliably
  • Protect the Design team's focus by balancing incoming demand with available capacity, enabling designers to spend time on high-impact product work and less on operational coordination
Design Operations and Delivery Accountability
  • Own the operational execution of Design delivery, including planning, prioritization, status reporting, proactive risk management, and delivery tracking that leadership can rely on
  • Build, optimize, and scale Design operations processes, documentation, and workflows across tools including Figma, Jira, and Confluence to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as Design's operational representative in Product, Engineering, and leadership forums, translating Design priorities, constraints, and capacity into clear business decisions
  • Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen planning, collaboration, and execution across Design and cross-functional partners
What You'll Need Experience
  • Typically, 8+ years experience in design program management or design operations.
Backbone and Diplomacy
  • You are comfortable being the vocal representative of design. You can hold healthy tension, push back on senior partners, and drive decisions to a conclusion without full consensus, all while keeping trust and relationships intact.
Design Literacy
  • You care about craft and interaction quality. You can understand and defend a design rationale, not just enforce a date.
Capacity and Roadmap Planning
  • Hands-on experience with capacity planning, resourcing, intake, roadmapping, and prioritization across competing demands.
Process Fluency
  • Fluency with agile and sprint processes and with design and program tools such as Figma, Jira, and Confluence (or equivalents).
Judgment in Ambiguity
  • You create clarity from ambiguity, know which problems to invest in and which to deprioritize, and have a strong bias to action

Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidates must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

NICE TO HAVE
  • Direct experience in streaming, OTT, sports, or news/live media, and an understanding of the constraints of live-first, multi-platform (app, web, connected TV) products.
  • Experience standing up or scaling a DesignOps function or design system program.
  • Experience partnering across multiple brands or business units.
  • Familiarity with design systems governance and with how design work is reviewed and delivered across multi-format ecosystems.
