Job description

About the Job
OFFICE ADMIN - EXOTIC ANIMAL COMPANY
Looking for someone hungry to work, learn, and get ahead. We are a family-owned exotic animal distributor with a beautiful facility and a fast-paced, unique work environment. We're looking for a dependable Office Admin who wants to become an important part of our team. You don't need to know everything on day one.
Work ethic, attitude, and the ability to learn matter most.
Who We're Looking For:
We want someone who:
  • Shows up ready to work.
  • Is dependable and organized.
  • Keeps their head down and gets things done.
  • Solves problems instead of passing them along.
  • Can work independently without constantly being supervised.
  • Treats customers professionally.
  • Learns new systems quickly.
  • Takes pride in doing a job well.
  • Wants more responsibility as they prove themselves.
What You'll Do:
You'll help keep the day-to-day business running smoothly, including:
  • Handling customer orders and order issues.
  • Learn how to post ads and keep inventory.
  • Fraud prevention and order verification.
  • Creating and managing invoices.
  • Answering phones and providing excellent customer service.
  • Filing and general office organization.
  • Learning and following our existing systems.
  • Potentially helping manage wholesale accounts if you have solid reptile knowledge.
Systems You'll Use:
Experience is helpful, but we're willing to teach the right person:
  • Canva or any other platform for email design.
  • Google Sheets.
  • Zoho invoicing.
  • ShipStation.
  • General office and filing systems.

Our Mindset:
We believe opportunity should follow effort. If your mindset is "I'll work harder after I get paid more," this probably isn't the right environment for you.
If your mindset is "Give me an opportunity, I'll prove what I can do, and I'll earn my way up," we want to meet you.
Work hard. Learn. Become valuable. Grow with us. Think you're that person? Apply.
