Role Overview

bfinance is seeking a Director to drive revenue growth across its North American business.

This is a senior commercial coverage role with direct accountability for originating new mandates, expanding existing client relationships, and retaining long-term revenue across institutional and intermediary clients. The role is intentionally regional in scope and may include lead responsibility for one or more client segments such as wealth platforms, RIAs, insurance companies, pension funds, or other institutional investors.

While the role requires strong investment credibility and oversight of client delivery, the primary mandate is commercial ownershipdeveloping senior relationships, converting those relationships into revenue, and growing wallet share by leveraging bfinances global advisory and research platform.



Key Responsibilities

Client Coverage, Relationship Ownership & Revenue Accountability

  • Own senior client relationships across North America with responsibility for origination, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Lead client engagement strategy and commercialise bfinances advisory capabilities across public and private markets.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers including CIOs, Heads of Private Markets, CFOs, and investment committee members.
  • Coordinate with global research, implementation, and advisory teams to convert client needs into funded mandates and long-term revenue relationships.

Regional Business Development

  • Proactively identify, develop, and close new client opportunities across North America.
  • Lead regional business development efforts, including prospecting, pitch strategy, proposal development, pricing discussions, and mandate close.
  • Maintain and actively manage a forward-looking sales pipeline in coordination with regional leadership.
  • Where appropriate, act as a segment lead (e.g., wealth, insurance, institutional), supporting coordinated regional coverage and market development.

Private Markets & Manager Relationships

  • Maintain select commercial relationships with private market investment managers relevant to client mandates.
  • Support manager positioning, searches, and client-driven engagements in coordination with global research teams.
  • Contribute to market intelligence and commercial thought leadership across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real assets.

Platform Collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues across North America and globally to deploy the firms capabilities efficiently.
  • Represent bfinance at industry conferences, client forums, and market events.
  • Contribute to regional planning, prioritisation, and growth initiatives.


Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in institutional financial services with a demonstrated track record of revenue generation, gained in:
    • Institutional asset management (distribution, client coverage, or solutions roles)
    • Investment consulting with origination responsibility
    • Wealth platforms, insurance organisations, pension funds, or private markets businesses
  • Proven ability to originate, price, and close institutional mandates.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of institutional investing, capital markets, and portfolio construction.
  • Working knowledge of private markets.
  • Commercial mindset with confidence engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
