We're currently seeking a Plumbing Design Coordinator to join our dynamic team. You'll be part of a culture that values deep collaboration, technical excellence, and continual growth. As a member of our MEP+L Systems engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across our studios in California and Texas-and help bring high-performance, community-first design to life.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, project designers, and project managers in the execution of integrated building designs.
  • Support the design and documentation of plumbing systems through schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate fire protection systems design, as required based on Authority Having Jurisdiction.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Research, evaluate, and help specify plumbing systems, equipment, and materials appropriate to project goals.
  • Assist with construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, RFIs, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support integrated and high-performing design solutions.
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality construction documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior team members while receiving mentorship from senior engineers, designers, and project leaders.

What We're Looking For:
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience, with a focus on plumbing system design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Commitment to the integrated, multidisciplinary design process and collaborative teamwork.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to producing high-quality construction documents and technical deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative, creativity, and sound technical judgment.
  • Passion for innovative design and thoughtful project implementation.

Preferred:
  • Experience with the design of medical gas, laboratory, and/or fire protection systems.
  • Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) credential, or equivalent.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
