The Position

The Specialty Representative – Women’s Health: Territory:Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland)

Reporting to the National Business Manager, the Specialty Representative - Women’s Health is responsible for achieving annual sales and business objectives within his/her geography. These objectives are achieved through partnering with physicians and other healthcare professionals in and beyond teaching and community hospitals and clinics, with the goal of changing prescribing behaviors, closing health care gaps and improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively demonstrates ownership for the business on his/her assigned territory by fully understanding the health care environment, assessing and identifying key customers (Health Care Professionals) and engaging in the right mix of activities in support of assigned product(s) while ensuring a customer-focused approach.

  • Thinks & acts strategically to develop and implement territory business plan that will result in achievement of the territory sales results and organizational goals.

  • Develops trusted relationships with key accounts.

  • The ability to work in both a team environment, as well as individually, is essential.

  • Represents Organon in a complex business environment that is constantly being shaped by competitive activities, government legislation, clinical practices and technological developments.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (Science, an asset).
  • Proven results as a pharmaceutical sales representative (minimum 3-5 years, specialty experience is a strong asset).
  • Knowledge of the women’s health (Contraception, Hormonal therapy) & Asthma markets/products is a strong asset.
  • Strong business acumen and key account mindset.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and clearly communicate scientific concepts and data.
  • Ability to engage in a complex patient management discussion where the candidate can effectively use disease and product knowledge as well as market access and patient-physician support expertise to provide value to our customers.
  • Ability to analyze, produce, execute and track a territory business plan.
  • Proven ability to rapidly build networks and relationships based on trust and second to none customer focus.
  • High level of proficiency in selling and negotiation skills as well as how to manage objections and adversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team that is field or office based.
  • Proven understanding of the reimbursement system in the territory.
  • Proficiency in office technology and related software.
  • Ability to travel provincially and occasionally nationally.
  • A spotless record of ethics and compliance to all industry rules and regulations.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Language: English.

Notre équipe des ventes soutient nos clients en leur fournissant des informations cliniques sur les produits, des informations éducatives, des programmes de formation clinique et des ressources. Nous offrons du soutien aux professionnels de la santé et aux systèmes de santé pour les aider à atteindre les objectifs des patients dans leurs communautés.

Relevant du chef national des affaires, le représentant auprès des spécialistes, Santé de la femme, est responsable de l’atteinte des objectifs annuels de vente et d’affaires au sein de son territoire. L’atteinte de ces objectifs s’effectue en partenariat avec des médecins et d’autres professionnels de la santé à l’intérieur ou à l’extérieur du milieu hospitalier universitaire et communautaire, et des cliniques, dans le but de changer les comportements en matière de prescription, de combler les lacunes existant dans les soins de santé et d’améliorer les résultats thérapeutiques et la qualité de vie.

Responsabilités
  • Exercer efficacement ses responsabilités commerciales dans le territoire qui lui est attribué, en montrant une grande compréhension du secteur de la santé, en identifiant et en évaluant les clients clés (professionnels de la santé) et en exécutant les activités pertinentes pour soutenir les produits assignés tout en suivant une approche orientée vers le client.

  • Penser et agir de façon stratégique pour élaborer et mettre en œuvre un plan d’affaires pour le territoire qui permettra d’atteindre les résultats de vente du territoire et les objectifs de l’entreprise.

  • Établir des relations de confiance avec les comptes principaux.

  • Pouvoir travailler autant en équipe que de façon autonome, une qualité essentielle pour le poste.

  • Agir au nom d’Organon dans un environnement commercial complexe, constamment remodelé par les activités de la concurrence, la législation gouvernementale, les pratiques des hôpitaux et les progrès technologiques.

Éducation, Expérience et Compétences Requises
  • Baccalauréat (en sciences, un atout).

  • Résultats avérés en tant que représentant pharmaceutique (un minimum de trois à cinq ans d’expérience spécialisée constitue un atout important).

  • Connaissance de la santé des femmes (contraception, hormonothérapie) et des marchés du traitement de l’asthme, un atout important.

  • Sens aigu des affaires et excellente compréhension des comptes clés.

  • Capacité à apprendre rapidement et à communiquer clairement des données et des concepts scientifiques.

  • Capacité à participer à une discussion complexe sur la prise en charge des patients lors de laquelle le candidat peut fournir de la valeur à nos clients en utilisant efficacement ses connaissances sur les maladies et les produits, ainsi que l’accès au marché et son expertise en matière de soutien patient-médecin.

  • Capacité à analyser, produire, mettre en œuvre et suivre un plan d’affaires pour le territoire.

  • Capacité avérée à établir rapidement des réseaux et des relations fondées sur la confiance et à porter une attention inégalée au client.
