Job description

Derivatives Enterprise Sales Closer
Clearwater Analytics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Derivatives Enterprise Sales Closer to join our growing sales organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new enterprise opportunities within the alternatives and private markets ecosystem, including private equity, private credit, mortgage loans, asset managers, insurers, fund administrators, and asset owners with alternatives exposure.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding Clearwater's footprint in the alternatives market by positioning our platform as a mission-critical solution for complex investment data, accounting, and reporting needs across private and illiquid asset classes.
Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation
Identify, qualify, and prioritize enterprise-level alternatives prospects through proactive outreach, strategic networking, partner channels, and leveraging existing relationships across the private markets ecosystem.
Enterprise Sales Engagements
Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles, engaging senior decision-makers including CIOs, COOs, Heads of Operations, Finance, Risk, and Investment teams within alternatives-focused organizations.
Solution & Consultative Selling
Develop a deep understanding of client workflows, data challenges, regulatory requirements, and operating models specific to alternatives and private assets. Tailor Clearwater's solutions to address complex use cases such as private fund accounting, valuation, performance, and multi-asset reporting.
Sales Presentations & Demonstrations
Deliver compelling, value-driven presentations and demonstrations that clearly articulate Clearwater's differentiated capabilities for alternatives and private markets, translating technical functionality into business outcomes.
Deal Strategy & Negotiation
Own deal strategy and lead complex commercial negotiations, structuring enterprise agreements that align client needs with Clearwater's business objectives, including multi-year and multi-product opportunities.
Pipeline & Forecast Management
Maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting using CRM tools, with a strong command of deal progression, risks, and close plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with pre-sales, solutions consulting, product, marketing, implementation, and client success teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to onboarding and long-term client success.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Stay current on trends in alternatives investing, private markets regulation, fund structures, and competitive solutions to inform sales strategy and identify new growth opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
Build and sustain trusted-advisor relationships with enterprise clients, supporting long-term account expansion and acting as a strategic partner beyond the initial close.
Qualifications
  • Proven Enterprise Sales Success: Demonstrated track record of closing complex enterprise deals in a SaaS, FinTech, or data platform environment, preferably serving alternatives or private markets clients.
  • Derivatives Products Knowledge: Strong understanding of derivatives asset classes (Options, Futures, Forwards, Swaps , CDSs etc), exposure to hedge funds, real assets, fund administration, or institutional asset management.
  • Consultative Selling Expertise: Ability to diagnose sophisticated client challenges and map solutions to operational, financial, and investment outcomes.
  • Complex Deal Negotiation: Experience navigating long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and enterprise procurement processes.
  • Executive Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging C-level and senior leadership audiences.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfort operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $168,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
