Job description

At Lake Ridge Bank, we are focused on serving the community and we are seeking a motivated leader to join our Oregon office as a Retail Manager! The Retail Manager position will be responsible for growing Lake Ridge Bank's market share through acquiring, building, and retaining retail relationships; along with, coaching retail office staff on adding value to the client experience for successful service outcomes. This position will also be responsible for optimum daily operational performance, solidifying a team environment and developing associates to their highest potential.
  • Bankers are expected to achieve full banking relationships with customers. Therefore, being very familiar with ALL that Lake Ridge Bank has to offer is paramount to success in addition to maintaining expertise of all deposit and consumer loan products and services.
  • Maintain personal banking knowledge with the ability to open accounts, originate retail loans and understand the CSA function with the ability to maintain a cash drawer.
  • Support and administer growth strategies in the areas of core deposit growth, assets and non-interest income.
  • Develop, promote and maintain positive relationships with clients, the public, and the community in a manner that will promote the overall marketing and sales efforts of the bank.
  • Resolve escalated client problems/issues as needed while providing quality, personalized service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Build trusted working relationships with those from other departments to strengthen referral opportunities with Wealth Management, Mortgage Lending, Commercial Lending and Treasury Management.
  • Effectively manage office profitability through efficient use of personnel, expense management and increased revenue growth.
  • Manage the retail staff members and exhibit managerial effectiveness with office staffing, performance, pro-motions, etc.
  • Open and close office location following security procedures. On call for after-hours alarm calls including nights and weekends.
  • Conduct staff meetings for the office location.
  • Prepare monthly reports on results of sales, deposits, loans, etc., for the office.
  • Inspect outside grounds of building and make arrangements for lawn care, shoveling of snow, etc. During winter make certain no snow or ice are on sidewalks.
  • Inspect inside building and coordinate daily cleaning needs with associates. Additional cleaning needs are coordinated with appropriate personnel.

Collaboration
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align product initiatives with overall bank goals.
  • Foster strong relationships between internal teams and external partners.

Community and Organizational Engagement
  • Represent the bank at community events and in organizations to enhance visibility and foster relationships.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, and cross-departmental initiatives.

Other Responsibilities
  • Continually develop knowledge, skills and abilities thorough internal and external training programs
  • Complete all annual security and compliance training as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
  • Actively participate in bank and department meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience in a financial services environment.
  • Previous personal banking or lending experience with a strong understanding of financial products/services.
  • Previous supervisory experience involving coaching/motivating others to reach individual or company goals.
  • Results orientated sales ability with success in establishing and building customer relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of clients and employees.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Flexibility with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to put forth the extra effort necessary to make the office a successful operation: (i.e. working additional hours that requires early mornings, evenings and weekends.)
  • Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the office is involved.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.

  • Familiarity with banking systems and digital tools to optimize team performance.
