Job description

  • Primarily responsible for growing business deposits and services.
  • Create and execute business development plan to grow business deposits.
  • Perform due diligence and determine eligibility in order to open new deposit accounts, setup account services and approve ACH Credit Risk limits.
  • Proactively call on businesses to solicit deposit accounts
  • Works closely with Business Lending Team and Branch staff to originate new relationships and help develop existing relationships.
  • Coordinate with our Marketing Team, Business Lending Team and Retail Team to maximize business deposit growth.
  • Make recommendations for negotiated fees and terms required to compete for strong business deposits, as needed.
  • Monitor market for deposit offerings from competitors and recommend changes to our deposit account features, rates, fees and terms in order to stay competitive.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract review and negotiation for new contracts and renewal of existing contracts. Research market for alternative vendors, perform due diligence, calculate return on investment and cost benefit analysis. Serve as project lead for implementing new services.
  • Function as subject matter expert on business deposit accounts and services and provide support to Business Lending Team, Branch Teams and general membership.
  • Monitor performance of business deposits and prepare accurate reports.
  • Monitor all federal and state regulations and recommend changes to policy and procedures.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating the Credit Union's caring values and supporting the Credit Union's goals, mission and vision.
  • Successfully grow deposit operations. Interview and hire new employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience:

  • Prefer extensive business deposit sales and management experience from working at Banks and Credit Unions in the Houston TX Market.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business related field is required. Prefer Master's degree in Business Administration
