Job description

The Deposit Program Manager is responsible for the strategic development, performance, and lifecycle management of the credit union's deposit products, including checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts. This role ensures deposit products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with member needs, financial objectives, and the overall business strategy. The Deposit Program Manager partners with cross functional teams to analyze product performance, enhance the member experience, and drive sustainable deposit growth. This position will assist in fulfilling the mission of the credit union and will maintain a strong member service chain in order to create and maintain loyalty with both internal and external members and vendors. Essential Function & Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to both internal and external members and demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's Do More Good culture by fostering a positive work environment and promoting our core values in all interactions.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the full lifecycle of deposit products (consumer and commercial), including checking, savings, and promotional offerings.
  • Continuously assess product performance, competitiveness, and profitability; recommend enhancements or new product development as needed.
  • Lead the design and execution of promotional deposit campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor competitor offers and industry trends in order to establish and manage deposit rates, ensuring alignment with competitive market conditions, financial objectives, and liquidity needs.
  • Analyze and provide regular updates to senior leadership report on key performance metrics for deposit products and promotions (e.g. growth, retention, cost of funds, campaign ROI) to promote informed strategic decision making.
  • Manage and enhance commercial deposit products, ensuring they meet the needs of business members and clients and partner with commercial teams to support growth and optimize product offerings.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate Visa credit card promotional campaigns including marketing collaboration and internal team education and communication.
  • Develop and provide ongoing monitoring of our Commercial Deposit product suite.
  • Work cross-functionally with lending, marketing, operations, and retail teams to ensure successful product execution and alignment.
  • Partner with Business Analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for expansion while supporting strategic initiatives aimed at growing deposits and enhancing the member experience.
  • Prepare, manage, and adhere to the departmental budget by forecasting expenses, monitoring expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures to ensure financial efficiency and accountability.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Effectively manage and resolve internal and external member escalations by identifying issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring member satisfaction while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.

Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree)

Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationship with other entities (companies or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and or sell ideas or services to others.
Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting salary for this position is $69,266 per year.
