Position: Operations Manager Options Ink
Position: Operations Manager Options Ink
FLSA Status: Full-Time Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director
POSITION Description: Responsible for the management and oversight of the day-to-day operations of Options Ink to ensure that this organizational area is managed and is performing efficiently and effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and provide direct oversight of the operations at Options Ink
  • Receive and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and provide customer quotes and pricing for orders
  • Maintain a working knowledge of production processes sufficient to support production scheduling and quality control
  • Hire and effectively train Options Ink staff
  • Organize and oversee the work and schedules of Options Ink staff
  • Identify opportunities for process and operational management improvements and implement new systems
  • Report progress to senior management and work with them to improve operations and procedures
  • Develop and maintain operations systems for proper product and chemical handling, storage, and inventory control in accordance with applicable safety standards
  • Ensure staff are trained on and follow proper safety procedures for handling and storing chemicals and materials used in production
  • Evaluate and update policies and procedures to increase operation efficiency
  • Ensure all financials are accounted for and coordinate with the finance department when necessary
  • Improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes
  • Implement a comprehensive strategy aimed at increasing the number of clients
  • Maintain knowledge by attending professional and technical educational seminars and workshops; review publications; establish professional and personal networks within the industry
  • Identify Requests for Proposals and submit proposals for additional business opportunities for Options Ink as well as spreading awareness of the services offered by Options Ink
  • Maintain and grow Options Ink's social media presence and represent the business through community involvement and outreach to market services and increase brand awareness
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints; ensure all complaints are resolved timely and with customer satisfaction
  • Manage relationships with vendors and customers
  • Participate in the planning and execution of events
  • Act as a liaison with staff, suppliers, and clients
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in conjunction with the HR department as needed and in accordance with company policy

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records

  • Working knowledge of production processes and quality control practices
  • Experience with order processing and preparing customer quotes/pricing
  • Knowledge of proper handling, storage, and safety protocols for chemicals and production materials
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a printing, design, or production environment
  • Experience with shipping and receiving operations
  • Prior supervisory or staff management experience required
  • Experience with order processing, customer quoting/pricing, and production scheduling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
