Job description

Job Title: Dental Lab Technician

Company: Atwood Prosthodontics

Location: Grand Junction, CO

Status: Full-Time

Salary: $30.00 - $38.00/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our prosthodontic practice. This position will work closely with the practitioner and clinical team to support the fabrication and delivery of high-quality dental restorations and prosthetic appliances.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and finish crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, partials, and implant-supported restorations.
  • Work closely with the prosthodontist on full-mouth rehabilitations, complex restorative cases, implant cases, and highly esthetic anterior restorations.
  • Interpret digital scans, impressions, photographs, wax-ups, treatment plans, and detailed laboratory prescriptions.
  • Develop restorations with careful attention to occlusion, vertical dimension, contacts, contours, emergence profiles, and esthetics.
  • Assist with shade matching, characterization, and individualized esthetic design.
  • Evaluate cases for accuracy and communicate directly with the prosthodontist regarding necessary modifications.
  • Perform adjustments, repairs, relines, and other laboratory procedures as required.
  • Maintain consistent quality and precision throughout every stage of fabrication.

Required Knowledge & Expertise

  • Dental laboratory experience with a strong background in dental laboratory work.
  • Advanced understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, prosthetic design, and restorative materials.
  • Experience with fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics.
  • Knowledge of full-mouth rehabilitation and complex restorative workflows preferred.
  • Strong understanding of esthetics, tooth morphology, shade, and characterization.
  • Experience with digital impressions, CAD/CAM, milling, and/or 3D printing preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate directly with a prosthodontist.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.

**Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules, the salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. In addition, Atwood Prosthodontics provides a variety of benefits to full-time employees, including paid holidays (6 annually), paid time off, Colorado sick leave, and retirement plan participation.
