Technicians use digital impressions and CAD/CAM technology to create precise dental restorations, often collaborating with dentists remotely. This role allows dental technicians to work from home or a specialized lab while providing high-quality restorations for dental practices.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Dental Lab position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Remote Dental Lab position, you need a thorough understanding of dental anatomy, prosthetic fabrication, and digital design techniques, typically backed by experience in dental technology or a related certification. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, 3D printing equipment, and secure file-sharing platforms is commonly required. Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential soft skills for coordinating with remote dental teams and ensuring quality work. These capabilities are crucial for meeting client expectations, maintaining high lab standards, and delivering precise dental restorations efficiently from a remote setting.

How does collaboration work for remote dental lab professionals, and what tools are used to facilitate teamwork?

Remote dental lab professionals regularly collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and other lab technicians through digital channels, making clear communication and timely feedback essential. Most teams use secure file-sharing systems, real-time chat platforms, and video conferencing software to review scans, discuss cases, and share project updates. By leveraging modern digital tools, remote teams maintain high workflow efficiency and ensure that dental restorations meet the specific needs of each client.

Regional Sales Manager Sales Support Specialist โ€“ North America.
(Certified Dental Technician | AI & Digital Dentistry)
Overview
We are seeking a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) with strong digital laboratory experience to support the expansion of an AI-driven dental technology platform across the United States.
This is a field-facing, technically focused sales support role, ideal for a CDT who has transitioned (or is ready to transition) from the bench into a consultative, customer-facing position. The role blends business development, technical education, and relationship management, supporting dental laboratories in adopting AI-powered design automation.
This position represents the company's first dedicated U.S. hire, making it a highly visible and impactful role with direct collaboration across international teams.
About The Role
The focus of this role is not traditional aggressive sales, but rather technical credibility and education. The product addresses a specific pain point in dental labs: automation of routine design work (e.g., trays, night guards, stencil models), enabling labs to scale despite technician shortages.
You will work directly with lab owners, managers, and technicians to:
Understand workflow challenges.
Demonstrate AI-driven design solutions.
Support adoption and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary U.S.-based technical sales and support resource for dental laboratories.
Build and manage relationships with dental labs across the U.S.
Conduct onsite lab visits to understand workflows and identify automation opportunities.
Educate customers on AI-powered CAD solutions and their operational benefits.
Support business development and proactive outreach, leveraging your existing industry network.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex AI concepts into practical lab value.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Technical teams based in Europe and Australia.
Represent the company at industry trade shows, with key interviews and meetings often held at major U.S. events (e.g., Chicago shows).
Provide structured feedback from the field to help shape product development and go-to-market strategy.
Mandatory Requirements
Certified Dental Technician (CDT) โ€“ required.
5โ€“10 years of experience in a digital dental laboratory environment.
Strong understanding of digital workflows, CAD/CAM, and lab operations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort transitioning from bench work into a customer-facing, consultative role.
Willingness to travel regularly (approximately one week per month, regionally organized).
Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
Comfortable with business development and relationship building, even if not a traditional salesperson.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in sales support, technical education, or lab consulting.
Exposure to AI, automation, or software-driven design tools.
Experience working with or supporting high-volume labs facing scaling challenges.
Existing U.S. dental lab network to support faster market entry.
Familiarity with the Canadian dental lab market (a plus).
Location & Travel
U.S.-based position.
East Coast strongly preferred to align with Copenhagen-based teams (6-hour time difference).
Field-based role with regular travel to customer sites.
Work Style & Culture
Strong emphasis on autonomy, accountability, and initiative.
Collaborative, remote-first environment across multiple countries.
Values technical credibility, trust, and longโ€term partnerships over aggressive sales tactics.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary + commission structure, targeting approximately 70% base / 30% variable.
Opportunity to grow with the company as U.S. operations expand.
