What you will do:

The Demand Planner is responsible for assisting with operational forecasting activities associated with finished goods by creating and maintaining forecast models for internal and external locations by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales, Marketing, and Category Management. The demand forecast will be analyzed at multiple levels of aggregations in multiple time horizons as part of the demand planning function with Logility and will support the cross-functional research activities to reconcile variances and refine the forecast model to reflect the updated assumptions.

By owning at least 1 "Top Customer" through the S&OP process, you will review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, provide forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. By managing meetings with agendas, notes, analysis, and follow-up you will become the sales team's "Go To" contact for planning their customer.

Logility mid-level skills will be developed to learn to manage your business. As well as recognize when other advanced features could be utilized and performed.

Career development and personal development is important to Tillamook and as a Planner you will develop leadership goals, learn strategies, and demonstrate partnership skills cross-functionally with many departments. Trainings to be completed include Presenting Data Visually, Clear Is Kind and TCCA Decision Making. Other projects with cross-functional and internal department impact will also be assigned. You establish best practices to ensure efficient project management and documentation of outcomes. Presentations are made to department management.

Here's a day in the life:

  • Create statistical forecasts using Logility Voyager System and incorporate business changes on top of the statistical results.

  • Gather, analyze, and validate data.

  • Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting.

  • Root cause analysis on forecast bias; using proven data analysis skillset.

  • Collaborate internally with multiple departments to ensure the demand plan achieves Forecast Accuracy goals for your customers and Promo Groups as assigned.

  • Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts according to the audience requirements.

  • Facilitate collaborative monthly meetings with sales team members for areas of responsibility to review sales plans, promotions, and demand drivers to achieve a consensus forecast.

  • Speak about and for your areas of responsibility during the S&OP process meetings for Demand Review and Consensus.

  • Present, solicit and assess feedback on your customer and promo group assigned area forecasts from sales, category management, and finance during monthly meetings.

  • Communicate demand changes to internal supply team when required for short lead times and large variances.

  • Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion.

  • Maintain forecasts in demand planning system and software.

  • Aid in improving and streamlining demand planning processes.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Two (2) or more years related Supply Chain experience

  • Understanding of manufactured planning cycle, inventory control, and S&OP process

  • Communicate effectively; verbally and written.

  • Work with great attention to detail

  • Proven analytical skillset.

  • Demonstrated high level of experience using Excel, demand planning tools, and ERP systems.

  • Ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-paced work environment.

  • Logility experience a plus

  • APICS or CPF certifications a plus
