Work you'll do
As a Security Engineer II on the security engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting security solutions that help protect systems, applications, and data across the enterprise.

  • Implement, configure, and maintain security tools and controls across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments
  • Monitor security findings, assess control gaps, and support remediation activities with technical and business stakeholders
  • Support security engineering activities for identity and access management, endpoint protection, network security, vulnerability management, or cloud security
  • Develop or maintain scripts and automation to improve security operations, control implementation, and reporting
  • Document technical requirements, configurations, and procedures to support security standards, audits, and operational readiness

This team works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks, strengthen controls, and support secure business operations. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with opportunities to contribute to security initiatives across multiple technologies and platforms.

Qualifications
Required:

  • 2+ years of industry experience in Identity and Access Management
  • 2+ years of experience in developing, implementing, or architecting information systems
  • 1+ years of experience with technical architecture experience integrating identity management, access management and access governance software into clients' infrastructure and applications
  • 1+ years of experience with installation, integration and deployment in SailPoint in a client environment
  • BA/BS Degree required, preferred majors include: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Business
  • Ability to travel 25-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • One or more security certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or CompTIA Security+
  • Experience supporting security in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
  • Experience with security information and event management tools, including Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint detection and response, or identity governance tools

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $82,600 to $162,800.
