Event Planner - Deloitte University

This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Deloitte meetings including at Deloitte University (DU) and offsite locations. These meetings require advanced meeting planning expertise and demand a significant amount of interaction and communication with senior leadership as well as internal stakeholders.

Work you'll do

As a Services Associate, Meeting and Event Services on the Deloitte University Meetings and Events team, you will be responsible for:

  • Plan and execute meetings and events at Deloitte University and offsite venues from intake through closeout
  • Coordinate with sponsors, sourcing, scheduling, registration, operations, venues, and vendors to align event plans to meeting objectives and required protocols
  • Develop and manage meeting specifications, timelines, budgets, forecasts, and room blocks, including actions to reduce attrition and support Deloitte University utilization
  • Manage vendor contracts and event services, including production, decor, entertainment, transportation, team building, information technology, supplies, and temporary staffing
  • Provide on-site support and communicate with internal stakeholders, senior leaders, and external participants throughout planning and execution

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of meeting planning, special events, hospitality operations, or client service experience in corporate or hospitality environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience developing meeting specifications, coordinating event logistics, and supporting on-site event execution
  • Ability to work on-site at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas; residence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with hotel management software, including Delphi, Daylight, CI/TY, or Infor
  • Experience supporting meetings and events for senior leaders or executive audiences
