Delco Storm & Sewer is seeking an experienced, hands-on Site Foreman to lead underground drain, sewer, stormwater, and excavation field operations.

This is a field leadership role for someone who takes pride in running safe, efficient, and high-quality job sites. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can direct crews, operate in fast-paced field environments, communicate professionally with customers and management, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Position Overview

The Site Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily underground drain and sewer field operations while leading crews safely and efficiently in the field. This role serves as the direct connection between field crews and Operations management, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to Delco Storm & Sewer quality standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring both leadership and field involvement.

What You’ll DoField Operations & Safety
  • Oversee daily field operations including sewer repair, drain cleaning, jetting, CCTV inspections, excavation, and underground utility work
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
  • Direct the operation and maintenance of Vactor trucks, jetters, CCTV equipment, excavation equipment, and related machinery
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards including trenching/shoring and confined space requirements
  • Conduct pre-job safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Ensure crews, materials, and equipment are prepared before work begins
  • Proactively identify and resolve job site issues to prevent delays
Crew Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor field crews through hands-on coaching and support
  • Delegate daily responsibilities and manage crew productivity
  • Maintain accountability and professionalism across the job site
  • Reinforce company safety standards and quality expectations
  • Support employee development and training initiatives including OSHA, CDL, PACP/LACP/MACP certifications, and equipment training
  • Communicate staffing, training, or performance concerns to Operations leadership
Quality Control & Customer Communication
  • Ensure all work meets Delco Storm & Sewer quality standards before leaving the site
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative for customers, property managers, municipalities, and contractors
  • Communicate project timelines, findings, and unforeseen conditions professionally and clearly
  • Identify scope changes, safety concerns, and field issues and escalate appropriately
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete daily job reports, timesheets, work orders, and inspection documentation accurately
  • Track material usage, equipment hours, and job progress
  • Maintain safety records and compliance documentation
  • Report equipment maintenance concerns before they become operational issues
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in underground utilities, sewer, stormwater, excavation, or civil construction required
  • Prior Foreman, Crew Lead, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of sewer cleaning, jetting, CCTV inspections, and underground repair methods
  • Experience with Vactor trucks and related equipment strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA trenching/shoring and confined space safety requirements
  • OSHA-10 certification required; OSHA-30 preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead crews in fast-paced field environments
  • CDL license preferred
  • Clean driving record required
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work around heavy equipment, trenches, confined spaces, and underground infrastructure
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, digging, and climbing
  • Flexible schedule with availability for emergency response work when needed
  • Travel between job sites throughout the service area required
