BASIC FUNCTION
At DeLaval, we are driven by a clear purpose: supporting our customers with high-quality products and solutions that enable sustainable food production. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead our Kansas City Distribution Center-ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every step of the supply chain.
Your Purpose
As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products-ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory control systems to ensure accurate order fulfillment
  • Champion quality and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with DeLaval Production System (DPS)
  • Build and maintain a safe, engaged, and high-performing team culture
  • Track, manage, and report on KPIs and financial performance goals
  • Ensure operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental priorities

What You Bring
  • Proven warehouse management experience
  • High school diploma (additional education a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse Management (PA1)
  • Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies, including:
    • VSM, PDCA, Kaizen, 8D, 3A, TQM, 5S, CM, Standard Work
  • Strong problem-solving capability, including root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys)
  • Forklift certification and solid understanding of OSHA standards and compliance

  • Strong, respectful communication skills that foster a positive and motivated work environment
  • A leadership approach grounded in integrity, trust, and mutual respect
  • Ability to engage and motivate teams while holding high standards for performance and accountability
