We have an integrated and scalable range of services which help our clients achieve their goals on projects of varying scope, budget, schedule, and complexity.
Job Description: As a BHS Superintendent, you will oversee the day-to-day field construction activities associated with baggage handling system (BHS) project within an active airport environment. The ideal candidate will provide field leadership, coordinate contractors and stakeholders, monitor installation activities, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, TSA standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day field oversight of baggage handling system construction and installation activities.
  • Coordinate contractors, airport operations, design teams, and project stakeholders to support successful project execution.
  • Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and approved schedules.
  • Conduct routine field inspections and identify construction deficiencies, coordinating corrective actions with contractors.
  • Review contractor work for compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and TSA planning and design guidelines.
  • Coordinate BHS installation activities with other airport construction and operational work to minimize impacts to ongoing airport operations.
  • Participate in project meetings, field coordination meetings, testing, commissioning, and system turnover activities.
  • Review and document construction progress, field issues, RFIs, submittals, and change requests, providing timely updates to project leadership.
  • Support ORAT, commissioning, training, and project closeout activities as required.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting aviation baggage handling system construction or implementation project.
  • Experience overseeing field construction activities on complex aviation or transportation infrastructure project.
  • Strong understanding of BHS installation sequencing, construction phasing, and airport operational constraints.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, airport stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience on large hub U.S. commercial airport project.
  • Working knowledge of TSA Planning Guidelines and Design Standards (PGDS).
  • Experience supporting BHS testing, commissioning, ORAT, FAT, TRR, and system turnover.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance.
