The Deficiency Sales Rep for Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is responsible for preparing accurate fire sprinkler and alarm inspection deficiency proposals to customers within a timely manner meeting the Service Managers criteria. (WAFS goal is 48 to 72 hours. The Deficiency Sales Rep is responsible for quoting deficiency work for all deficiency reports received. He/she is responsible for tracking all proposals and following up with customers within on a regular basis until the proposal is approved or declined. Deficiency sales is the first priority of this position.
Day to Day:
  1. Quote all red tag inspection deficiencies within timely manner meeting the Service Managers criteria and follow up with customers on a regular basis via telephone and email to ensure proposals were received and answers questions regarding proposals.
  2. Continually follow up with customer until proposal is declined or approved and process approved sale through Service and/or Alarms Department to ensure proper scheduling.
  3. Prepare and submit all deficiency proposals based on inspection deficiencies found. Maintain deficiency tracking spreadsheet that indicates key milestones necessary for deficiency quoting and follow up.
  4. Update and utilize WAFS ERP program as required to maintain customer profile, site/properties, opportunities, quotes, reports, activities, to help manage customers better so WAFS can capture work with them.
  5. Regularly update management on market conditions, customer objections and/or customer service concerns, and position challenges.
  6. Continuously update all customers on company service modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  7. Assist other sales representatives, as necessary, who are responsible for maintaining the customer "one point of contact." If deficiency sales quotes are needed for the customer, communicate with the WAFS point of contact.
  8. Enhance knowledge of procedures, products, and services by attending department and training meetings. Learn about the full scope of services WAFS provides in order to secure additional opportunities for WAFS. Pass other opportunities/leads on to applicable WAFS sales reps.
  9. Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
  10. Communicate with and assist other WAFS team members as needed to proposal jobs and assist with questions.
  11. Submit all required reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  12. Maintain positive and professional relationships with all internal customers.
  13. Perform all other duties as assigned.
