The Deficiency Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of Deficiency Sales Representatives to achieve and exceed sales quotas related to fire protection system deficiencies, with direct oversight of Sprinkler and Fire Alarm deficiency sales performance. This role provides strategic direction, coaching, and operational oversight to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and compliance-based sales solutions across these core life safety disciplines.
JOB SUMMARY:
This leadership role requires a results-oriented professional who can balance team leadership, sales performance management, and operational execution. The Supervisor ensures consistent use of sales processes, oversees proposal quality, and drives accountability across the team, with a focused responsibility for Sprinkler and Fire Alarm deficiency sales execution and growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and capable of motivating a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with Regional Sales Manager/Director responsible for:
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing a team of Deficiency Sales Representatives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, ride-alongs, and call coaching sessions.
  • Set individual and team sales targets aligned with company goals, including Sprinkler and Fire Alarm deficiency sales objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new sales team members.
  • Drive team performance to meet and exceed assigned sales quotas, with emphasis on Sprinkler and Fire Alarm deficiency sales growth.
  • Monitor pipeline activity, conversion rates, and key sales metrics by discipline (Sprinkler and Fire Alarm).
  • Ensure effective use of ServiceTrade and other sales systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase deficiency sales and customer engagement, specifically targeting Sprinkler and Fire Alarm systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and revenue growth across all deficiency categories.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of proposals and quotations.
  • Oversee customer communication regarding system deficiencies and compliance solutions, with strong technical alignment to Sprinkler and Fire Alarm requirements.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on sales performance and forecasts, including segmentation of Sprinkler and Fire Alarm deficiency sales results.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Monitor team workload distribution to optimize productivity and efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven experience in sales leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of structured sales processes and pipeline management.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements.
  • Experience handling a high volume of sales activity.
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems, service industry, or ability to quickly learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales systems (ServiceTrade preferred.)
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to manage conflict in a collaborative, professional manner.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fire protection, life safety, or commercial services industry.
  • Background in deficiency sales or compliance-driven sales environments.
  • Experience leading high-volume, inside sales teams.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTrade or similar proposal management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Sprinkler and Fire Alarm systems and associated deficiency repair sales

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
