Compensation Range: 78,600-98,400 plus sales bonus

Job Purpose

The District Sales Manager (DSM) is a frontline sales leadership role responsible for driving execution, accountability, and performance across a defined geographic district within the Industrial & Utility sales organization. The DSM serves as the primary leadership link between the Director of Industrial & Utility Sales and Technical Sales Representatives (TSRs), ensuring disciplined sales execution, consistent coaching, and strong partner alignment. They are also responsible for managing the manufacturers' representatives in their region, working closely with both the Director of Partner sales and Director of Data sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Technical Sales Representatives within the assigned district.

Drive district-level revenue performance, forecast accuracy, and execution consistency.

Conduct regular coaching, deal reviews, and performance management activities. Ensure pipeline quality, opportunity progression, and CRM discipline across the district.

Support complex deal strategy, pricing decisions, and escalation management.

Lead regional channel partners and ensure alignment with EnerSys sales strategy.

  Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Customer Service. 

Revenue and Performance Accountability

The DSM role does not carry an individual sales quota but is accountable for execution and performance across multiple revenue-producing territories.   • Direct people management responsibility for multiple TSRs.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  6+ years of experience in industrial, utility, energy, or technical sales.

Prior experience leading teams or serving as a senior sales contributor with leadership responsibilities.

Other Requirements

Strong understanding of channel sales models and complex deal environments.

Proven ability to coach, influence, and drive performance across teams.

Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays 

Travel Requirement

May require up to 50% travel.
