Sonar

Austin, TX • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Who is Sonar?

Sonar is driving the future of agent-centric software development. As the leader in AI code review and verification, we solve a critical problem: ensuring that software generated by AI-assisted developers or autonomous agents is reliable, secure, and maintainable.

Integrating seamlessly with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Devin, we help over 75% of the Fortune 100 build trusted, reliable, compliant software. Customers who use Sonar are 44% less likely to report an outage due to AI-generated code.

We believe code verification is the critical missing link in the Agent-Centric Development Cycle (AC/DC). Industry giants like Nvidia, ServiceNow, Booking.com, Goldman Sachs, AstraZeneca, and Ford Motor Company count on us to provide independent, explainable, consistent review and governance of their AI-generated code via products like:

  • SonarQube: The world’s leading AI code review and verification platform.

  • SonarQube Foundation Agent: Currently topping the leaderboards for agentic software repair.

  • SonarSweep & Sonar Context Augmentation: Providing the enterprise-grade context and constraints agents need to be truly effective.

Our team operates across global hubs in Austin, Bochum, Dubai, Geneva, London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Washington D.C. We move with a mindset we call CODE:

  • Committed to our customers and community.

  • Obsessed with quality.

  • Deliberate in our decisions.

  • Effective as one team.

With over $400M in revenue and profitable, fast-paced growth, we are building the backbone of the AI software revolution. If you’re hungry to have an impact, want to build at a fast pace, and ready to work at the forefront of AI, we want to hear from you.

Position description

Sonar’s marketing technology stack is a strategic asset — and this role owns it. As Marketing Tooling & AI Operations Manager, you are the business owner for our full suite of marketing platforms, including Google Analytics, Semrush, Profound, Qualified, and others. You define what we need from our tools, ensure they are configured and integrated correctly, and drive the adoption that turns investment into impact.

This is a role for someone equally comfortable in a business requirements conversation and inside a tool’s admin console. You will work closely with marketing leaders, demand generation, content, web, and RevOps teams to keep our stack aligned to Sonar’s go-to-market motion — and ensure the people using it get real value from it every day.

What you will do
  • Own the marketing technology stack: Serve as the business owner for Sonar’s full marketing tool suite — including GA, Semrush, Profound, Qualified, and others — managing vendor relationships, contract renewals, and platform health.

  • Define and govern tooling requirements: Translate marketing team needs into clear business requirements for tool configuration, integrations, and new capabilities — partnering with IT and RevOps to ensure proper implementation.

  • Drive platform adoption: Design onboarding workflows, enablement materials, and internal training programs that get marketing teams using tools effectively and consistently.

  • Capture and communicate value: Track and report on tool utilization, ROI, and impact across the stack — delivering regular updates to marketing leadership on what’s working, what’s underutilized, and where to invest next.

  • Evaluate and evolve the stack: Continuously assess the marketing technology landscape, identify gaps and redundancies, and make recommendations on new tools, replacements, or consolidations that improve efficiency and outcomes.

  • Manage tool integrations: Ensure data flows correctly between marketing platforms, CRM, and analytics systems — working with technical stakeholders to maintain clean, reliable data across the stack.

  • Partner on AI and automation: Work closely with the Marketing AI Engineer to identify automation opportunities, provide business context for workflow design, and champion adoption of AI-powered capabilities across the marketing team.

  • Manage budgets and vendors: Own the marketing technology budget, manage vendor contracts and renewals, and negotiate to maximize value for the business.

Experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 4+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, or revenue operations — preferably within B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.

  • Bring hands-on experience managing marketing tool stacks, including analytics platforms (GA), SEO tools (Semrush), AI-powered intent tools (Profound), and conversational marketing platforms (Qualified) or equivalents.

  • Have a strong understanding of how marketing tools integrate with CRM systems (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms.

  • Be skilled at translating business requirements into technical configurations and working with engineering or IT teams to implement them.

  • Have experience designing workflows and creating training materials that drive adoption across non-technical teams.

  • Be data-driven — comfortable building dashboards, analyzing tool utilization data, and presenting ROI findings to marketing leadership.

  • Be highly organized and capable of managing multiple tools, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across marketing, IT, RevOps, and finance.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

In-office culture

We’re intentional about this. We believe the best teams are built in the room together. Three anchor days — Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays — create the collaboration rhythm that makes a hub office worth having.

Candidates need to be genuinely based in the location the role is posted — if that’s not where you are today, we’re happy to support relocation for the right person.

We value diversity, equity, and inclusion

At Sonar, we believe that our diversity is our strength. We are a global company that values and respects different backgrounds, perspectives, and cultures. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome all qualified applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

If you need any accommodation, please reach out to us at hiring@sonarsource.com.

All offers of employment at Sonar are contingent upon the results of a comprehensive background check and reference verification conducted before the start date.

Applications that are submitted through agencies or third party recruiters will not be considered.
