Job description

The Opportunity Seeking a Web & Automation Developer to design and build custom programs that enhance user engagement on public-facing websites while supporting internal team functionality. This role spans the full development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design through production deployment—and requires strong expertise in programming and server software operations. The ideal candidate develops modern web applications using both packaged and custom solutions, creating intuitive front-end interfaces that connect seamlessly to databases. He or she should be proficient in technologies such as HTML, SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, and ColdFusion, and leverage frameworks like Angular or React to build user‑friendly, scalable applications. Experience designing dynamic, database‑driven interfaces for real-time information sharing and developing secure external web portals is essential. This position also involves working with graphics, layout, and scripting while ensuring compatibility and integration across diverse technologies. The developer will collaborate within an Agile Scrum team environment and build loosely coupled Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to expose data to a variety of consumers. What You'll Bring Required Experience/Education:
• Must have at minimum a Top Secret clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI and sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or upon customer request. (Contract requires TS/SCI with poly.)
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Engineering or a related science/engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8 years of web development experience with a BS; 12 years of experience without a degree.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with a willingness to learn, solve problems, and adapt in a dynamic setting.
• Ability to adhere to prescribed processes and guidelines for web development workstations and environments, including software approvals, configuration management, and version control.
• Experience managing and maintaining web content across multiple domains (internal and external), including site design, updates, web metrics collection, and user access support.
• Experience participating in the development and implementation of consolidated business processes and web‑based project management solutions, including installation, customization, maintenance, licensing, and monitoring.
• Experience incorporating automated and manual test management capabilities, including test objectives, procedures, plans, documentation, release cycles, and process flow design.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, or others as specified) in support of test‑related web applications. Preferred Skillset:
• Experience with independent testing, data verification, and data validation.
• Experience administering and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and network services; managing user accounts, permissions, system security, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance.
